2009 YEAR-IN-REVIEW

The Sophomore year of The Huddle may not have been as prolific as its Freshman year, but we'd like to think that the issues and features published were more sophisticated and cut to the heart of many of the most pressing on and off-the-field topics.
We brought you 11 Issues, ranging from defense, offense, zone, gamesmanship, and an incisive look at Spirt of the Game. Add to that 7 Features, including the reader favorite Mock Draft. We also tackled Race In Ultimate, and Youth, College, Club, and International Ultimate.
We are so proud of our work in 2009, and it would all be meaningless without our devoted readership who are constantly emailing us; thanking us, giving useful suggestions, feedback, and criticism. As long as our audience is as engaged and thoughtful as it has been the past two years, The Huddle will live strong. So thank you to our readers.
And to our authors, without whom there are no words, no ideas, no magazine. Their contributions and volunteerism is unmatched, and we wish to thank them—for the millionth time (which isn't enough). They are the lifeblood of The Huddle. Thank you all.
So as 2009 has waned, and 2010 is upon us, we look forward to another great year of strategy talk and conversations about the sport. We'll likely start publishing regularly as spring approaches, but today we bring you our Top Ten articles of the past year. We encourage you to scour the archives, and find something new you can bring to your own game, to a teammate, and to your team.
