Colorado Springs, Colo. (May 19, 2023)–With the expiration of the federal Public Health Emergency for COVID-19 on May 11, USA Ultimate has officially ended its COVID-19 protocols and procedures.
Organizers, as well as participants and other event attendees, should continue to monitor and follow CDC and local health department policies for COVID-19 and other potential threats to health and safety. Individuals are also encouraged to be responsible members of the ultimate community, remain cognizant of vulnerable populations, practice good hygiene, and avoid participating in activities with others when sick or exposed to illnesses like the flu or COVID-19.
We would like to express our gratitude to the Medical Working Group for their guidance and contributions to USA Ultimate over the course of the past three years, as well as organizers, coaches, players and others who did their part to navigate this unprecedented challenge.
As the world and ultimate community were impacted in significant ways these past few years, there is both hope and renewed energy for the sport in the future.
