Colorado Springs, Colo. (July 10, 2026) – The WFDF World Junior Ultimate Championships (WJUC) are about to begin. Hosted in Logroño, Spain, this under-20 event features national teams across the mixed, open and women’s divisions. Taking place July 11-18, the eight day championships include 47 teams from over 20 nations, with approximately 1,000 athletes competing.

USA Ultimate once again has a national team competing in each of the three divisions with 72 athletes representing the U.S. across the three rosters. Since the first appearance of Team USA at a WJUC event in 1988, no U.S. team has failed to medal — collectively winning 16 gold, six silver and six bronze medals across all three divisions. At the most recent event, hosted in Birmingham, UK in 2024, Team USA brought home gold in the open and mixed, and silver in the women’s division.

This year’s athletes earned roster spots from a pool of over 200 athletes, and together represent 20 states across the U.S. with a strong showing from ultimate communities in Seattle, Southern California, Minnesota and Pennsylvania. The players are supported by an experienced team of coaches and assistant coaches, most of whom have contributed to the success of prior WJUC teams. The coaching team will be working alongside a team doctor, athletic trainers and USA Ultimate staff leading up to and throughout the event to support the athletes both on and off the field.

WJUC will be streamed live by USA Ultimate media partner Ultiworld from a showcase field with commentary as well as three single-camera natural sound broadcasts. Get to know the U.S. teams, follow along with the schedule and live results, and prepare to cheer for Team USA’s journey through the championships!
