Colorado Springs, Colo. (Jan. 6, 2020) – TOKAY cleats has been named the official footwear of USA Ultimate and the U.S. National Team in the competitive footwear category, the national governing body for the sport of ultimate in the United States announced today.

The three-year partnership with the manufacturer of ultimate-specific cleats runs through 2022.

As part of its support of USA Ultimate, TOKAY will provide specially designed U.S. National Team cleats for the 260 athletes representing the United States in major international competitions over the next three years, including the 2020 WFDF World Ultimate & Guts Championships (WUGC), the 2021 WFDF World Under-24 Ultimate Championships (WU24), the 2021 World Games and the 2020 and 2022 WFDF World Junior Ultimate Championships (WJUC).

TOKAY will also have an on-site presence at several major USA Ultimate championship events, offering the opportunity for athletes across various levels of competition to learn more about and sample TOKAY’s products, as well as support several advertising campaigns throughout the term of the agreement.

Launched in 2015, TOKAY cleats combines the quality of high-end sporting footwear with the demands and joy of ultimate.

“We’re excited and honored to have the opportunity of accompanying such great athletes in their pursuit of their ultimate goal,” commented TOKAY owner Robin Lamy. “We hope that this collaboration will show how game-changing our cleats can be.”

The 2020 WJUC team, which is set to be announced on Tuesday, January 7, will be among the first athletes to wear the team-issued TOKAY cleats, along with the 2020 WUGC team. Both events will occur this summer.
