Colorado Springs, Colo. (January 5, 2023)— The 2023 USA Ultimate Beach Championships will take place May 13-14 in Huntington Beach, Calif., USA Ultimate announced today.
The awarding of the bid to Huntington Beach marks the first time the tournament will be held on the west coast following six editions in Virginia Beach since the event’s inception in 2015. It also brings a second major beach ultimate tournament to Huntington Beach this year, which is also set to host the 2023 WFDF World Beach Ultimate Championships, October 28 through November 4.
The 2023 edition also marks the tournament’s return to the championship calendar following the cancellation of the 2020 and 2021 editions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The USA Ultimate Beach Championships is co-hosted by California Ultimate in partnership with Visit Huntington Beach. California Ultimate’s Grant Boyd will serve as the tournament director.
