DISCover Ultimate Day is an ideal opportunity for middle school-aged kids to learn more about our amazing sport in a simple, fun and interactive way — all for free! Experience the joy of ultimate and learn the basics of how to play by attending a free, one-hour introductory session through a local disc organization in your area.

What to Expect
DISCover Ultimate Day introduces newcomers to the sport through a variety of easy, fun and engaging activities.
Introduction to Ultimate
Learn the basics about what ultimate is, how it’s played, and what sets it apart from any other sport.
Learn Basic Skills & Drills
Practice some fundamental skills – including how to catch a disc – and participate in basic drills.
Disc Games & Team Activities
Play a variety of disc games designed to introduce and develop basic entry-level skills for new players.

What if I’ve never played ultimate before?
Great! DISCover Ultimate Day activities are designed to introduce kids to the sport of ultimate for the first time while offering a fun, safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
Do I need any special equipment to participate in DISCover Ultimate Day?
No, all you need is a pair of sneakers! Discs will be provided at each location, but feel free to bring your own if you have one.
I can’t find a location near me that is offering an event on DISCover Ultimate Day, what should I do?
Events are organized by local disc organizations (LDOs) around the country. If you can’t find an event near you, reach out to your LDO and encourage them to host an event!
Do I need a USA Ultimate membership to participate in DISCover Ultimate Day?
No, however during registration you will be required to complete the standard USA Ultimate liability waiver and medical authorization forms.
What is the age range for DISCover Ultimate Day participants?
The program is most appropriate for middle school aged kids, but all ages are welcome to participate.
