Colorado Springs, Colo. (April 2, 2026) — USA Ultimate has opened the application process for athletes interested in trying out for the U.S. National Team that will compete at the 2027 WFDF World Under-24 Ultimate Championships next summer.
USA Ultimate will field three 24-player teams in the mixed, open and women’s divisions of the Championships. Specific dates and the location for the summer event have not yet been announced by WFDF. Players who will be 23 years of age or younger on December 31, 2027, and meet all other criteria listed on the application, are eligible to apply.
U.S. National Team selection will take place following a pair of tryouts this November — one in an east coast location and the other near the west coast. Eligible USA Ultimate members who would like to be considered for an invitation to tryouts must complete the online application by June 30, 2026.
Members of the ultimate community – including coaches and local organizers – may also recommend a player to USA Ultimate and its U-24 National Team coaching staff for consideration. Recommendations may be submitted via a separate application, which are due no later than June 14, 2026.
