Colorado Springs, Colo. (August 8, 2022)—Athletes interested in trying out for the 2023 U-24 U.S. National Team may now express their interest via an online application process through August 28, USA Ultimate announced today.
Players who will be 23 years of age or younger on December 31, 2023 are eligible to apply.
Dates and location for the 2023 WFDF World U-24 Ultimate Championships have not yet been determined, but are expected to take place next summer. It is scheduled to be the first edition of the event since 2019 after the COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of the 2021 tournament.
USA Ultimate will field a team in each of the three WFDF-recognized divisions – mixed, open and women’s.
Selected applicants may be invited to one of two tryout camps this fall.
Athletes interested in representing the United States at the 2023 WFDF World U-24 Championships should complete the online application by September 9.
Additionally, members of the ultimate community (e.g. coaches and organizers) may recommend a player to USA Ultimate and the U-24 National Team coaching staff. Recommendations may be submitted via a separate online application, which is also due by September 9.
