Tournament Director Certification Program (TDCP)
Hosting a top-notch ultimate tournament is no small undertaking. Luckily USA Ultimate’s TDCP provides organizers and tournament directors with the education and tools necessary to run a safe, high-quality and fun tournament for athletes and fans. The program includes access to a comprehensive manual chock full of valuable guidance and best practices from the sport’s top experts.
3 Simple Steps to Certification
Apply for the online TDCP Certification Clinic.
Applicants must be SafeSport trained and a current USA Ultimate member at least 18 years of age. SafeSport training is available via your online member account.

Take and pass an online, open-book exam.
Details & Costs:
Certification is required for the following individuals:
- All state youth competition coordinators
- All tournament directors for all USA Ultimate-sanctioned events
Certification is free for many, including:
- All state youth competition coordinators
- All high school state championship tournament directors
- All USA Ultimate championship series tournament directors
- Tournament directors of sanctioned events run by a USA Ultimate affiliate or state-based organization.
For others, the initial cost of certification is $33. Certification is good for three years.
