Colorado Springs, Colo. (April 13, 2023)—USA Ultimate is currently searching for individuals to serve as head coaches of the U.S. National Team for three international events in 2024/25 – the 2024 World Ultimate Championships, the 2024 World Junior Ultimate Championships and the 2025 World Games. In all, five head coach positions are available.
Dates and locations for both world championship tournaments have yet to be determined by WFDF. The 2025 World Games will take place August 7-17 in Chengdu, China.
For the World Ultimate Championships, USA Ultimate is seeking a head coach for each of the three competitive divisions – open, mixed and women’s. The event was last held in 2016 as the COVID-19 pandemic cancelled the most recent edition of the quadrennial tournament, which was originally slated for 2020.
For the World Junior Ultimate Championships, USA Ultimate is accepting applications for a head coach to lead the first-ever mixed division team.
The World Games, last held in 2022 in Birmingham, Ala., features a mixed team and is considered to be the pinnacle of international-level ultimate.
Reid Koss and DeAnna Ball, who led Team USA to gold medals at the most recent edition of WJUC in 2022, return as head coaches of the open and women’s teams respectively.
Applications for assistant coaches will be available later this summer.
