Colorado Springs, Colo. (November 5, 2024)—This past summer, USA Ultimate sought input from various stakeholders in the ultimate community as part of its ongoing youth club restructuring process. Feedback was gathered via a nationwide survey that was completed by more than 800 respondents and a pair of virtual town hall-style forums hosted by USA Ultimate.
One of the goals of these community outreach efforts, which targeted local disc organizations, parents, coaches and players, was to evaluate three potential competition structures. And while no clear and convincing consensus was reached with each of the three structures preferred equally across the community, USA Ultimate will continue to gather data and process additional feedback ahead of its annual competition working group meeting next month.
Results of the survey are publicly available and can been viewed here.
As part of its continued outreach, USA Ultimate is now collecting additional feedback via a follow-up survey through Friday, December 6.
Additionally, members of the ultimate community may also share their thoughts and ideas about USA Ultimate’s future youth competition structure via this online form. The youth competition working group, which consists of USA Ultimate staff and volunteer regional youth directors, will review data from both sources ahead of its annual fall meeting scheduled for December 7-8.
USA Ultimate would like to thank the members of the youth ultimate community who participated in the survey and continue to provide valuable input into the future of youth club ultimate in the United States.
